Control playback from your phone
• See the current track, artist and album artwork when your player provides them.
• Play, pause, skip tracks and seek in supported media players.
• Use shuffle and repeat when supported.
• Adjust your computer's system volume or mute it.
• Use your phone's volume buttons while the remote screen is open.

RemoTune works with media players and browsers that expose playback controls to Windows or macOS, including supported playback in YouTube Music, Spotify and Apple Music. Available controls depend on your player and operating system. RemoTune is an independent app and is not affiliated with these services.

Connect in a few steps
1. Install and launch RemoTune on your Windows PC or Mac from https://remotune.app
2. Connect your phone and computer to the same local network. A computer connected to the router by Ethernet also works.
3. Select the detected computer, scan its connection QR code, or enter the address shown in the desktop app.
4. Approve the request on your computer, then start playing media there.

Save up to five approved computers and reconnect without repeating the initial approval. No RemoTune account, subscription or payment is required for these controls.

Designed for your own network
Pairing identifiers and control commands pass directly between your phone and computer. Your media activity is not sent to RemoTune's servers. Camera access is optional and used only to scan a connection QR code. The Android app has no advertising or analytics SDK.

Things to know
• Keep the desktop app running. Guest Wi-Fi isolation, a VPN or a firewall may prevent a connection.
• Use a trusted network: local traffic is not encrypted. Control from another network is not supported.
• Audio stays on your computer; RemoTune does not stream audio to your phone.
• Artwork, track duration and individual controls vary by player. Some Mac audio outputs do not support software volume control.
