Gladiator Manager is a turn-based management sim set in ancient Rome, where tactical auto-battles reward smart decisions over reflexes.

Hire and train gladiators with unique traits. Handle injuries, develop skills, balance egos, and survive in a corrupt arena system full of intrigue and betrayal.

Win matches to gain influence, unlock better gear, and enter tougher tournaments. Lose, and your best fighters may be gone forever.

It's very fun and thankfully doesn't ask you to spend money to make real progress. The amount of random events is what kills it for me though. every time i make any progress a random event occurs that sets me back, whether it be financially or by getting a gladiator or two of mine killed. Every time i play for a few minutes i leave more annoyed than anything seeing any progress i made that session basically reset by random events.

Fun but challenging gameplay loop of gladiator matches, managing resources, and upgrading skills / equipment. Can feel grueling early game and many classes, items, gear etc are locked behind the premium currency initially, however it is easily obtainable in game. And with the lack of ads, good sound design, and simplistic yet clean pixel artstyle, it's the most enjoyable mobile game I've played in a long time

Has two major bugs/poor design which are as soon as you hit the advance button, you cannot go back and have to fight. The other bug is when you buy or upgrade your estate, it doesn't update how it looks when you're playing and you have to quit to title and go back to the game for it to update your estate. Other than those two things it's a super fun game.
