About this game

Participate in tournaments with your team of gladiators as you employ bribes and assassinations to weaken your enemies. Acquire gladiators from your competitors, or sell them if you lose interest. Train them with new skills and upgrade their stats to dominate the colosseum.

Gladiator Manager is a strategic management game with an auto-battler component. It operates on a turn-based system, where each turn is divided into two primary segments. The first segment focuses on actions such as leveling up your gladiators, managing your finances, building upkeep, tournament registration, gladiator acquisition, and opponent sabotage. The second segment is combat preparation and execution: picking equipment and setting up bribes.

The game progresses through various phases, starting from the initial setup (turns 1-50), moving into a more complex mid-game (turns 50-150), and offering late-game gameplay variation and additional content (after turn 150). Through an ascension system, you can do over 10 re-runs with mutators, and there are 3 difficulty settings to complete your games on.

To organise your gladiators effectively, you handle their injuries, and maintain their loyalty. Level up their attributes, select techniques, and choose fighting styles to optimise their performance in battle.

Overall, Gladiator Manager offers a management experience set against a historical backdrop, highlighting the importance of strategic decision-making and effective resource management to rise as the most dominant lanista in Rome.

Has two major bugs/poor design which are as soon as you hit the advance button, you cannot go back and have to fight. The other bug is when you buy or upgrade your estate, it doesn't update how it looks when you're playing and you have to quit to title and go back to the game for it to update your estate. Other than those two things it's a super fun game.

The construction bug has been fixed on beta. The one about advancing is a choice, since thats when the battles are generated. If people go back at that point it could invalidate the matchups. I will think about if going back is possible for the future though, maybe by re-generating the matchups.

It's easily one of the best games I've ever played. I'm quite picky with the mobile games I play because usually, most of them are either laced with ads and/or just filled with pointless grinding. This game is different. Getting to see your gladiators progress as the weeks progress is just so satisfying. Not only that, the game in general just handles the gameplay loop so well. The ascension tournament is featured at just the right moment before I lost most interest in the current run. 10/10!!!!

This game is great. In the beginning, it takes it easy and is hard enough to leave you with a challenge while teaching you the ropes. When the difficulty increases, you adapt by learning how to play the game. I have many hours in this game and is a perfect balance of adaptation and challenge. Only when you progress a considerable amount does the game really hit you with challenges that ttakemany ttrieto overcome. It really makes you think hard about choices and their effects. Would recommend!
