About this app

Resource Panda is a trading app for buying and selling waste resources, such as scrap metal, non-ferrous metals, electronic scrap, and used machinery, through auctions or fixed-price bidding.

Sellers upload photos and their asking prices, while buyers place anonymous bids. At the close, if the highest bid is equal to or higher than the asking price, the item is awarded; if it falls short, it is withdrawn.

The only payment made through the app is the monthly subscription fee, and no transaction fees are charged. Payment for the items is made directly between the trading parties.

■ How the Auction Works

1. Registration: Enter photos (maximum 10), item type, weight/quantity, region, shipping method, and asking price, then select the auction time from 12, 24, or 48 hours.

2. Bidding: The first bid can be made starting from 500 won. Subsequent bids are placed in fixed increments ranging from 50 won to 10,000 won based on the current price. The app automatically calculates the bidding increment.

3. Closing: If the highest bid is equal to or higher than the asking price, the item is awarded; if there are no bids or the bid is lower than the asking price, it is withdrawn. Upon winning the bid, the seller and the winning bidder determine the weighing, shipping, and payment methods in a dedicated chat.

■ Auction Rules

· Each person may place up to two bids per day. Bids from all auctions are aggregated and counted as two again at midnight KST. Any remaining bids do not carry over to the next day.

· The identity of bidders is not disclosed to anyone, including sellers. Only the most recent bid is hidden and displayed in the bid status.

· Winning bids are not determined between 11 PM and 8 AM. If the closing time falls within this period, the display time is adjusted to close at 8 AM the following day.

· Starting 10 minutes before the closing time, the display changes from the remaining time to 'Closing Soon,' and notifications are sent to those who have placed bids or saved the item.

· Once the first bid is received, the seller cannot delete the item or change the price, unit, or auction time.

· You cannot bid on items you have listed yourself, and bids cannot be canceled within the app. ■ Limit Price Trading

You can set and list prices per kg, per unit, or for the total amount. If the seller enables 'Price Proposal Available,' buyers can make proposals via price and message, and the seller can accept, reject, or re-propose. Purchase requests and inquiries are handled via chat.

■ Items Handled

· Scrap & Non-ferrous Metals: Heavy scrap, light scrap, miscellaneous iron, copper, brass, aluminum, stainless steel, waste wires, and other non-ferrous metals

· Electronic Scrap: Urban mining raw materials for recovering gold, silver, and copper, such as waste printed circuit boards (PCBs), RAM, CPUs, telecommunications equipment, and waste home appliances

· Used Machinery: Machine tools, construction and heavy equipment, agricultural machinery, motors and pumps, industrial facilities

· Used Materials & Parts: Pipes and steel tubes, structural steel and steel plates, electrical materials, plumbing and equipment materials, tools

Items not in the list can be registered by entering them manually. All prices are displayed with the unit, such as 'KRW/kg' or 'KRW/unit'.

■ Transaction Information

· Once a transaction is completed in the app, the item, region, and price are displayed in real-time at the top of the home screen. The personal information of the parties involved is not displayed.

· If you select an item of interest, you can view listings for that specific item grouped together on the home screen.

· A history of items won in auctions can be downloaded as an Excel file organized by period.

· You can increase the font size, and prices are entered using the large number keypad.

■ Subscription Guide

· Anyone can use the membership sign-up, item registration (auction/fixed price), viewing listings, setting interest items, and the Customer Center without a subscription.

· Auction bidding, fixed price proposals, and purchase requests are available only to monthly subscribers. You can complete ongoing transactions even after your subscription ends.

· Subscription Product: Panda Resource Monthly Subscription (automatically renews every month). The price is the amount displayed on the subscription screen in the app and on Google Play.

· Payment is processed via Google Play Billing and will automatically renew every month unless cancelled.

· You can manage and cancel your subscription via Play Store > Profile > Billing & Subscriptions > Subscriptions. Even if you cancel, you can continue using the service until the current billing period ends.

■ FAQ

Q. Can I use it without a subscription?

A. Yes. Anyone can list items and view listings without a subscription. A subscription is required only for auction bidding, limit price offers, and purchase requests.

Q. Can the seller see the bidders?

A. No, they cannot. Bids remain anonymous even to sellers, and only the most recent bid is hidden and displayed in the bid status.

Q. What happens if an auction ends at night?

A. Winning bids are not determined between 11 PM and 8 AM. Auctions scheduled to close during this time will close at 8 AM the following day.

Q. Are there any fees? How is payment for items exchanged?

A. There are no transaction fees. Payment is made directly between the seller and the buyer, bypassing the app.

Q. Can I cancel a bid?

A. You cannot cancel a bid through the app. If you placed a bid by mistake, please contact Customer Center.
