Restore Image is a photo recovery and data recovery app that finds deleted, hidden and lost photos, videos, audio and files that are still stored on your Android phone or SD card, and restores them to your gallery in one tap.

Deleted a photo by mistake? Cleaned the wrong folder? Many "deleted" files are still physically on your device: in the system trash, in hidden or .nomedia folders, in app caches and thumbnail directories, or simply missing from the gallery index. Restore Image scans those places, lets you preview every result and brings back only what you choose.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Scan – Quick scan checks your media library and the system trash in seconds. Deep scan also searches hidden folders, caches and renamed files using file-signature detection.
2. Preview – Open any photo or video before restoring it and check its size, date, resolution and original folder.
3. Restore – Recover deleted photos to Pictures/Restored Images (videos, audio and documents get their own folders), or move trashed items straight back to where they were.

RESTORE DELETED PHOTOS FROM TRASH
On Android 11 and newer, photos and videos removed from the gallery usually stay in the system trash for up to 30 days. Restore Image lists them with a Trash badge so you can restore deleted photos before they expire, using Android's own secure restore dialog.

WHAT THIS APP CANNOT DO
Restore Image is not a forensic tool. It recovers files that still exist somewhere on your storage. It cannot recover data that has been fully overwritten, files wiped by a factory reset, or content on encrypted or damaged storage. Results vary by device, Android version and how long ago the file was deleted – the sooner you scan, the better your chances.

PERMISSIONS
• Photos and videos, music and audio: required to scan your media library and the system trash. The Android photo picker is not sufficient because the app has to search everything, including trashed and hidden items.
• Optional folder access: pick a folder and Deep scan searches only inside it.
Nothing leaves your phone.

FAQ
How do I recover deleted photos on Android? Install Restore Image, allow photo access, run a scan, preview the results and tap Restore.
Can I recover permanently deleted photos? Only if a copy still exists on the device – in the trash, a cache, a hidden folder or an unindexed file. Overwritten data cannot be recovered by any app without root.
Does this photo recovery app work with an SD card? Yes, internal storage and SD card are both scanned, so you can recover deleted photos from either.
Is root required? No. Data recovery works without root on Android 8.0 and newer.
