About this app

Restpass is a restroom finder for Japan. Search the map for partner shop toilets and restrooms near you, and use them with a pass from the app.
When you cannot find a public toilet, or the restrooms at the station or mall are crowded, you can use a private restroom at a nearby partner shop.

■ Find restrooms on the map
Partner shop restrooms near you appear as pins on the map. The pin color shows an estimate of the status: available, crowded, full, cleaning, or closed. You can filter by restroom type, facilities, and price, or search by address or place name.

■ Use a restroom with a pass
Choose a restroom and buy a pass in the app. Show the pass screen to the shop staff, and you can use the restroom right away.

■ Check cleanliness in reviews
Reviews from people who have used each restroom show how clean it is and what facilities it has.

■ See walking time and directions
The app shows the walking time and distance from where you are, and hands over to Google Maps for turn-by-turn directions.

■ Call the staff if something goes wrong
While you are using a restroom, the SOS button in the app calls the shop staff.

■ Learn how to use Japanese toilets
A short guide in the app explains how Japanese toilets work and the manners to follow.

■ Keep a gut-health log
Record your bowel movements and meals in the app. Daily logging is free.

■ About partner shops
We are currently adding partner shops, mainly in Tokyo. Check the map in the app for the latest locations. If there is no partner shop near you yet, you can request a place from the app.

■ Notes
- Available hours depend on each partner shop's business hours.
- The availability shown in the app is an estimate and is not guaranteed in real time.
- Please always show the pass screen in the app to the shop staff.
- You can check your payment methods and pass expiry dates on My Page in the app.
- Please follow the shop's rules and help keep the restroom clean.
