Retail investors (Individuals) will have the facility to open and maintain the Retail Direct Gilt (RDG) Account with the RBI. The investor can place non competitive bids in Primary Issuance of all Central Government securities (including Treasury Bills and Sovereign Gold Bonds) as well as securities issued by various State Governments. Retail investors can also apply for Floating Rate Savings Bond (FRSB) 2020 (Taxable) by opening a Bond Ledger Account (BLA) through the RBI Retail Direct Portal. Also, no fee will be charged for opening and maintaining Retail Direct Gilt Account with the RBI.
