Pick any clip from your gallery — holiday videos, TikToks, music clips, old phone recordings — and VHS-88 dubs it onto "tape". The picture gets the smear, colour bleed and tracking lines; the sound gets the hiss, wobble and muffled tape tone. The result is saved as a normal MP4, ready to share.

🔊 A REAL AUDIO FILTER, TOO
VHS-88 doesn't stop at the picture. It runs your sound through the same machine: band-limited, saturated, hissed and wobbled like a linear VHS track — or clean stereo on the Hi-Fi formats.

📼 12 TAPE FORMATS
VHS SP and EP, Betamax, VHS-C, Video8, Hi8, S-VHS, U-matic, a mistracking tape, a third-generation copy, a worn rental tape and a 24-hour security camera. Each one is modelled as a real signal path — lens, tape and television — not a colour grade with noise on top.

📅 YOUR OWN DATE STAMP
The date and time are burned into the picture and smear with the tape, just like the real thing. Use a date from the tape's own era or type your own: change the tape speed (SP, SSP, EP), REC, PAUSE, PLAY, the date and the time.
