Ratings and reviews

This app is so easy to use. You can download the books directly to it, you can transfer them to Kindle if you'd rather read them there. I prefer to read from Prolific Works. Books are easy to archive. I have it on my phone and tablet. My computer doesn't support it. I wish I could get it there. Sometimes I just want to use a bigger screen if I'm home. Love getting free books. No issues at all for me.

Hate it! Was one of the most difficult things to download and get to work properly ever! I've never had to jump through so many hoops in my life and had to make so many attempts just to download one lousy book, and I had to download three of them! What a nightmare! Book Funnel is far easier to deal with than this nonsense! If I could give it a negative five stars I would!

I was seduced by the promise "We deliver straight to your favorite ereader app". Prolific Works is happy to load straight to your Kindle or Nook or Google Play app, but this is not the case if your favorite ereader is a less popular third party product. Fail #1 for me. As a fallback (since I fully expected that PW would not even acknowledge Cool Reader's existence), I hoped to be able to drop my epub directly into my Books folder. Fail #2; the file went straight into Downloads without any option to change, and then asked if I wanted to open with OverDrive. TL;DR: Works great if you're the target demographic, but I am not the target demographic. For me, the website works better.
