Rewamp plays the music of the machines that made it.
Not recordings — emulation. A .sid runs on an emulated 6581, a .nsf on the NES sound hardware, a .mod through a real Amiga Paula mixer. What you hear is the chip doing the work, exactly as it did on the original hardware.
FROM THE ARCHIVES THAT KEEP THIS MUSIC ALIVE
For decades, volunteer archivists have collected, verified and documented computer and video game music so that none of it gets lost. Rewamp lets you browse and play their work directly: the High Voltage SID Collection (HVSC), Modland, Amiga Music Preservation (AMP), UnExotica, the SNDH archive, the Atari SAP Music Archive (ASMA), VGMRips, ZXArt and more — with credits, groups, productions and demoparty results from Demozoo.
Search by title, artist, group, platform or format. Browse by collection, by demoparty, by year, or by competition podium. Artist pages bring biographies, aliases and group memberships; production pages link the demos and musicdisks a tune was written for, including their videos. Every track keeps its original file and its credits: you hear the music as its authors released it, and you know who made it.
Your own files play too: import single files, whole folders or archives (ZIP, 7z, RAR, LHA…), and they sit in your library next to everything else.
More than 35 audio engines cover over 1,200 file extensions:
• Tracker modules — MOD, XM, S3M, IT, MPTM, and dozens of older Amiga and PC formats
• Amiga — 300+ custom-player formats through a full 68k emulator (TFMX, Hippel, Future Composer, David Whittaker, and many more)
• Commodore 64 — SID, with HVSC song lengths and STIL credits
• Nintendo — NSF, GBS, SPC, GSF, 2SF, NCSF, SNSF, USF
• Sega, NEC, SNK, arcade — VGM, S98, HES, SGC, SSF, DSF, Capcom QSound (QSF)
• Computers — MSX (KSS), ZX Spectrum (AY, PT3, VTX), Atari ST (SNDH, SC68), Atari 8-bit (SAP), Amstrad CPC, PC-98 (PMD, FMP), X68000 (MDX), FM Towns (EUP), AdLib OPL2/OPL3
• Game streams — 700+ container formats via vgmstream
• Also MIDI with SoundFonts or Roland MT-32 emulation, SunVox, PxTone, Organya, Furnace, and more
SEE THE SOUND
Seven visualizers, all rendered natively:
• Oscilloscope — stereo, or one trace per voice with the real channel names
• Spectrum — from classic bars to a full-screen beam and a polar ring
• Notation and piano — every note as it plays, coloured by voice or instrument
• Pattern — the tracker view, in the original font, with VU meters per channel
• Milkdrop — the full projectM engine and its preset library
Mute any voice, isolate a single channel, change the tempo without changing the pitch, and hear how the track was built.
YOURS, OFFLINE

With a free account — optional, and never required — your library, playlists and favourites follow you to your other devices. You can also publish a playlist for other listeners to find, under a pen name of your choosing.

Rewamp is the successor to Modizer, rebuilt from the ground up. It exists because this music deserves a player that treats it as music, not as a curiosity — and because the people who preserve it deserve to be heard.
Chiptune, tracker and game music, emulated — 1,200+ formats, live visualizers.
