Developed to assist Australian volunteer Bushfire Fighters from the NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS), and also anyone that need GPS location services.

RFS Buddy translates your GPS location into the main RFS MGRS standard, including the LPI Map name and number. Also includes a number of other formats, and a Fire-ground Field Notes feature to record reference points of interest such as hazards, smoke etc.

1. RFS Mapping
The Standard MGRS format used to match the RFS maps used in the field. Includes:

- Full RFS Grid Reference (100m).
- Short RFS Grid Reference
- LPI Map Name, Reference Number & Scale
- GPS Accuracy

2. Aviation
3. Standard GPS
4. Degrees, Minutes, Seconds
5. Easting Northing

RFS FIREFIGHTERS POCKET BOOK

A useful reference tool to always have on hand. This copy has a scrolling menu to easy get to the page you need. Also bookmarks, sharing and printing features included.

Love this app that I have been using for sometime now, however I can't download the app onto my wife's phone as I get the notification "this app isn't available for this device because it was made for an older version of Android" even though my wife's phone and operating system are identical to mine in every way. Very, very annoying. Apparently, it's of Google's doing due to new protocols for apps on the playstore. Works perfectly for my phone. So why can't I be allowed to download it.

It's quite useful now but a few tweaks could make it awesome. Our appliances use tablets for terrain navigation and movement tracking, but they operate in landscape mode ... If RFS Buddy could work in landscape mode too it would be a big help in being able to see the location of other appliances and members etc. Keep up the good work 👍

Won't set up properly and keeps shutting down. Can see teaser message when msg received but when I open message the App crashes. Have sent multiple feedback with no responses. Cannot unload the App to return to email message (although delayed email updates were better than this rubbish).

What's new

• You can now track your vehicle (your phone) by either manually turning it on, or automatically when you go to an incident or to the station. To configure vehicle tracking, go to Settings > Vehicle Tracking.
• Many bugfixes and improvements.
