Measure and track railway distances with precision using your device’s A-GPS technology and sensor fusion such as the accelerometer. Designed as a support tool for railway professionals who require reliable and accurate measurements in operational environments, particularly in freight operations.

IMPORTANT:
LibTrain is an independent support application. It is not an official railway application and is not affiliated with any train operating company, infrastructure manager, or railway authority. It has been independently developed by a single developer (Author) with the aim of assisting railway drivers, especially those working in the freight sector, in their daily duties.

OPERATIONAL SUPPORT TOOL

LibTrain has been conceived as a complementary tool to support the work of train drivers, particularly in freight services. It does not replace official systems, regulatory equipment, or certified instruments. Its purpose is to provide an additional reference for distance and speed that may be useful during real operations, especially in freight trains.

Designed with railway reliability requirements in mind, LibTrain delivers consistent measurements even in complex environments. The application continuously monitors position, calculates real-time speed and average speed, and maintains detailed records of each measurement session for later analysis.

SECURE AND RELIABLE

All data is stored locally on your device, with cloud synchronisation coming soon (currently in development). Backup, recovery, and export functions allow you to retain generated information for personal reference.

Ideal as a complementary tool for railway drivers — particularly in freight operations — maintenance staff, and operational professionals who wish to have an additional reference for track assessment, operational checks, and technical planning.
