About this game

Rhythm Orbits is a one-button rhythm game. Two orbs circle a shared centre and travel a path of platforms. Every platform asks for exactly one tap, on the beat and on the landing. There is no other control.

How it plays
One thumb, one tap per platform, always on the beat of the music. No virtual stick, no swiping, no menus mid-run. Arcade-short and one-handed: a campaign level runs 18 to 41 seconds, 23 on average, and you can stop whenever you like.

110 levels across 11 worlds
Frozen Aurora, Ember Dunes, Neon Rain, Amber Woods, Whiteout Peaks, Tide Gardens, Storm Fields, Petal Drift, Void Bloom, Cinder Core: ten worlds of ten levels each. Then Nova Prisma, a bonus world of ten marathon levels around 52 seconds long, unlocked with 270 of 300 stars. Every world has its own art, its own music and its own rhythmic handwriting.

Rhythm with tools
A rhythm game is not one tap on repeat. Holds, double taps, spin reversals, tempo shifts and checkpoints. Plus built moments: trains of up to five cars that carry you across a gap, vertical lifts you ride by holding, jumps over open ground, and a camera that rolls a full turn while you keep playing.

A new level every day
The daily challenge builds a fresh campaign-length course every day. Same course for everyone, no entry fee, no energy.

Time trials
Eleven world runs plus "The Great Run" across all 110 levels in one sitting. The clock runs on the server, pauses count, and a failed attempt costs time rather than the run. Best times sit on their own leaderboard.

Build your own
The editor has three save slots, mix-and-match visual style presets and a test run one tap away. If you want, publish a level to the community, play what others built and like the good ones. Reported levels are hidden and reviewed.

51 cosmetic pieces
Orbs, trails, tile colours, signatures, resonances, name styles, avatars and frames. 28 of them you buy with coins earned in game; the rest are rewards for stars, completed worlds, hardcore runs or your player level.

Fair by design
- No in-app purchases. Cosmetics are paid for with coins you earn.
- No energy system, no lives, no timer telling you to come back tomorrow.
- Ads appear only when you leave a level, never during a run and never between a failed attempt and the next one. From the fifth attempt of a session at the earliest, at most every third attempt, at least 150 seconds apart, and never in your first three level clears or the first ten minutes of a session. Rewarded ads you start yourself or not at all.

Accessibility
Gentle mode widens the timing windows: runs still count towards your progress, but not towards the leaderboards. Reduced motion and reduced effects can be switched on separately. Adaptive performance measures frame time and lowers what is drawn, never what is asked of you.

Connection and data
The campaign, the daily and the editor run offline, with no internet and no account, and your progress lives on your device. Community, leaderboards, time trials and ads need an internet connection. The game has 46 achievements; sign in to Google Play Games — entirely optional — and 43 of them show up in your Play Games profile too, along with cloud saves and the global star leaderboard. What gets transmitted is set out in the privacy policy.

Verified levels
Every one of the 110 levels is checked automatically before it ships: a bot has to clear it without a mistake, the difficulty curve is measured level by level, and no two inputs are ever closer together than 185 milliseconds.

One tap. See how far you get.

What’s new

New: the chain is a real chain of metal links now. Tap and the platform bursts into its own colours, then reassembles; every landing flashes, and at the finish the last platforms form your stars.

New in the shop: twelve orbs as six pairs. And you can build your own pair — the same sphere twice if you like.

Music: you play the melody. Every hit sounds its own note.
