The Inventory app combines mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets with handheld scanners to create a convenient and powerful tool. The Inventory app is a data capture and reconciliation tool that is tightly integrated with the main RIB FM system. The connection is established via a secure web service to the RIB FM database.
Within this system, users create inventory processes using predefined workflows, which are then transferred as templates to the mobile device. The workflow is then largely automated. All that is required is that the mobile device is connected to the handheld scanner.
Once the Inventory app is launched, it takes over the stored template and guides the user through the workday. The processes are primarily controlled via the scanner; the system automatically recognizes rooms based on the barcode and can distinguish between them and the inventory or equipment. This means that smartphones and tablets can usually remain in a pocket, and only the scanner needs to be operated for inventory or data capture.
``` On-device displays guide the user through each step of the data capture process. Using predefined templates, new objects can be recorded and assessed with minimal data entry. This simplifies data capture, saves time, and, thanks to the consistent workflow, ensures greater data reliability. If a handheld scanner isn't available on-site, the integrated camera of a smartphone or tablet can be used. However, in this case, the device cannot remain in a pocket. The Inventory app can also be used without a barcode scanner, making it suitable for use during site visits for easy data maintenance.
Please define your "Service URL" in the settings before first use.
Additional apps are available for applications such as HelpDesk, Asset Management, Energy Management, and Warehouse Management.
