This app is great and but could use a little TLC. My wife and I use it to get a toe hold in whatever country we are visiting but it is showing its age - especially the Android version. For example, it does not play well with bluetooth controls, it will often need to be force closed when not in use, and bluetooth audio can crackle and skip, etc. Still a great service that pretty much unrivaled.

The content is good, I really like the walking tours while traveling. However, the navigation and especially controls do not work well on Android. I try to install the app just before starting any walking tour and uninstall it after. The foreground notification cannot be dismissed and is very bothersome. I wish it was a native app.

We visited Venice, Florence, and Rome. I am sure we would have figured things out on our own, but Rick saved us a ton of time! I highly recommend getting his books for wherever you plan to visit. These guides are a perfect supplement to those books. The only negative I have (not worth docking a star) was for the Uffizi Gallery. Several rooms have been remodeled, so the audio guide will get you lost. It would help if the chapters started with the room number or gallery you are supposed to be in.
