About this app

Pick it up, find the riff, build the band.

RiffJam puts a band of touch instruments in your hands. Strum, bend and slide on guitar, lock in a bass line, lay down a drum groove, then layer your parts into a full jam.

Play the instruments directly on your phone or tablet, record your ideas and shape your sound.

PLAY AND RECORD

• Start with electric guitar, bass and drums for free.
• Combine one of each in a session.
• Record parts, overdub takes and build repeating loops.
• Mix your instruments and shape their sound with amps, cabinets and effects.
• Explore included grooves and presets, or start a blank session.
• Play with touch controls designed for landscape screens.

PREMIUM — ONE PURCHASE, NO SUBSCRIPTION

Expand your band with a one-time in-app purchase:

• Up to eight instruments per session, including extra guitars, basses and drum kits.
• Acoustic Guitar, Keys synth and Theremin.
• Second Guitar: create a natural double or twin-lead harmony from a recorded guitar part.
• Guitar and bass tablature editing and practice.

Each instrument has its own sound, effects and recorded part. Premium pricing is shown in the app through Google Play.

SAVE AND SHARE

• Export your mix as WAV audio.
• Export recorded notes as MIDI or MusicXML.
• Save editable sessions in RiffJam's native format.

WAV captures your sound. MIDI and MusicXML transfer notes without RiffJam's effects, sounds, bends or slides. Keep a native session file to preserve your editable work.

PLAY OFFLINE

Once installed, the bundled instruments, recording and saved sessions work offline.

• No RiffJam account or sign-up.
• No ads or audience analytics.
• Sessions are stored on your device unless you choose to export or share them.

Buying or restoring Premium requires an internet connection and your Google Play account.
