About this app

The LRD App is a mobile application that contains the liturgical text & rites of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church (MOSC).

It provides instant access to the prayers for the current day and hour using the "Pray Now" feature. A background audio option can accompany users while they access these prayers. Users have the ability to set their preferences for display themes with "Night Mode Prayer Screen", and also the ability to silence calls and notifications with the "Do No Disturb" setting. The LRD App also provides intuitive gestures with pinch to zoom for prayer text sizing, back-swipe navigation, and portrait/landscape views with auto-fullscreen mode.

Resources & Current Contents Include - Shehimo: Book of Common Prayer, The Fast of Nineveh: Hours of Prayer for the Nineveh Fast, Great Lent: Daily Prayers for Grent Lent, Holy Week: Daily Prayers and Special Services for Holy Week, Holy Qurbono (as well as Qyomtho & Sleebo Vespers/Matins, Liturgical Year Hymns), Complete Bible (RSV) and Liturgical Calendar with Lectionary

Very very nice App. Very useful and helpful. Since the songs have been sung, it's much more easier to follow and learn the songs. I appreciate this effort and work very much. May God grant His blessings to all who are behind this. May God bless you all abundantly. One request is, if it is possible to make the scrolling better. Scrolling if not done very cautious, causes the page to be moved to the previous page. Edit: Thank you very much for the fast fix of the problem.

This app is excellent. The prayers have been translated using good grammar and simple words. The audio enables us to learn the tunes while matching the words. We will be the first diaspora generation able to say, understand, and participate in all the Orthodox sacraments and prayers in a language we understand, thanks to this app. To the wonderful team that worked on this, I am deeply grateful. A request would be to include the timings of each prayer hour of the Great Fast. Many Thanks.
