Begin with the Quick Start Guide for step-by-step instructions to make sure your electronics are ready for fishing and navigation. If you need more details, review the Advanced Reference Guide, Installation and Networking information, FAQs, How-To Videos and more! Eliminate the need to review cumbersome and lengthy manufacturer owner’s manuals or search YouTube for more information.

· Personalization – RipaLip University’s My Rig section allows you to customize the app by adding quick access to all the gear on your boat. As you dial-in your electronics for a particular body of water, create a custom Cheatsheet and fill in your settings. Use the add custom settings option to include any additional information, water clarity, moon phase, water temp, spawn phase, lure, wind, whatever helps you. Lastly the notes section gives you a place to put in more details, waypoints, etc. You can save, edit and add information as often as you like

· Cost-effective – RipaLip University offers two versions of the app. The Angler version gives you access to all guides and features for one piece of gear. The Pro version offers unlimited access to all gear in the app.

Ratings and reviews

I rigged up two boats with new electronics this year. One with new Lowrance HDS Live 12's and the other with Lowrance Elite 9 TI2's. Opened the app and had the HDS 12's set up perfectly in minutes. I didn't use the app when setting up my Elite 9's and couldn't get the side scan to work. I then did the set up using the RipaLip University app and had everything working correctly in about two minutes. This is such a great app! Makes complex electronics easy to set up and use.

I can not see what model sonar or trolling motor. Told me I had to add then in resources you can see model and delete the rest. Also can't add photo to setup. When I want to contact for help it does not got to any contact. In other words seems like most buttons are useless. Spending to much time just to rig it up and get app to work I got tired of the time. When I paid for pro version there was no confirmation if it went through or not. So I didn't. Know if I got the basic pro or just 14 day

Free version only includes Quick Start Guides & Resource Lists. All other functions of the app require "Pro" subscription (14 day cancellation trial). Free version only included Humminbird, Lowrance, Minn Kota, & MotorGuide equipment. Absent was Garmin & others. I also found it interesting that for Accessories listed under Humminbird you found Navionics maps, NOT the Lakemaster maps (Humminbird brand). I just wasn't impressed and I don't do trial subscriptions to get impressed. Sorry.
