About this app

Roadvan is a platform for renting campervans, motorhomes, and converted vans between travelers and owners, both private individuals and professional rental companies, in France. In the app, you search for a vehicle, send your request, communicate with the owner, and track your rental. Have a van? List it for rent in the same place.

TO TRAVEL
• Search by departure city and dates, either in a list or on the map.

• Filter according to your trip: vehicle type, budget per night, number of passengers and sleeping arrangements, driver's license (category B), unlimited mileage, pets allowed, shower, height, fuel type, year, guest ratings, amenities, and instant booking.

• Each listing shows photos, sleeping arrangements, dimensions, amenities, rental conditions, options, pick-up location, availability, rates, and guest reviews.

• The total price is displayed before you submit your request, including mileage and optional extras.

• Requesting a rental is free and without obligation: you only pay once it's accepted. With an instant booking, the reservation is confirmed immediately, and you pay right away.

• As long as you haven't paid, cancellation is free. A paid reservation canceled at least 7 days before departure will receive a full refund.

• The security deposit is a credit card authorization, not a charge. If no damage is reported, it is automatically released two days after your return.

COMMUNICATE WITH CONFIDENCE
• Messaging with the owner, with notifications for new messages and the progress of your bookings.

Before payment, contact information in messages is hidden. Once the booking is paid, each party's phone number is displayed in the booking details.

• You can report a message, a listing, a review, or a profile, and block a user.

TO RENT OUT YOUR VAN
• Registration and listing are free. Roadvan earns a commission on your share of each rental (15% at the standard rate). • Create your listing from the app: vehicle, sleeping arrangements, amenities, photos, price per night, terms and conditions, paid options, and availability. The Roadvan team reviews it before it goes live.

• Manage your calendar: close dates, set prices for specific periods.

• Accept or decline each request, with a breakdown of the total number of travelers, the commission, and your net earnings.

• Your payments arrive via bank transfer the day after your return, once your payment account is set up.

• Notice any damage upon return? Report it from the booking process, up until the day after your return.

GOOD TO KNOW
• Payment for a rental is not made in the app: it opens on a secure payment page on roadvan.com, processed by Stripe. Roadvan does not have access to card numbers.

• Search and view listings without an account. An account is required to book, contact an owner, or post a listing. Registration is reserved for adults. • Log in via email, Apple, Google, or Facebook.

• You can delete your account from your profile.
