Hotel Wi-Fi says you are connected. That is not the same as working.
RoamGauge tells you, in one tap, whether the network you just joined will actually let your VPN, your apps and your calls through, and what to do about it when it will not.
It answers with an action, not a readout. "Take the call on your hotspot" is useful. "UDP 443 is blocked" is the reason underneath it.
WHAT IT CHECKS
- Whether you are really online, or stuck behind a sign-in page
- Whether DNS is being filtered, intercepted or rewritten
- Whether your VPN will connect: real WireGuard, OpenVPN, IKEv2 and Tailscale handshakes, not just a port scan
- Whether calling and streaming apps can be reached
- Speed, latency, jitter and packet loss, measured when you ask for them
- NAT type and IPv6, for hosting, gaming and peer-to-peer calls
- Your own checks: add an office portal, a home server or a NAS
IT REMEMBERS
Rejoin a network and RoamGauge tells you that you have been here before and how it went. Test again later and it shows you the spread rather than one averaged number, because a hotel at 2pm and the same hotel at 9pm are not the same network. It always tells you how many tests that picture is based on.
HAND THE ANSWER TO SOMEONE ELSE
Copy a plain-text summary of what the connection can and cannot do and paste it into a message to your employer, a client or a relative. No links, no hosting, no account.
HONEST BY DESIGN
RoamGauge is a diagnostic tool, not a VPN. It sends real protocol-shaped handshakes so a green mark means the thing genuinely works here. It never tunnels your traffic and never establishes a VPN connection.
There are no accounts and no analytics. Your history stays on your phone and you can delete all of it in one tap. You can optionally contribute an anonymous result from a public venue to help map how hotel and airport Wi-Fi behaves. That is off until you turn it on, and the result carries no identifier of any kind, so it cannot be traced back to you.
RoamGauge is a Kinship360 app. Kinship360 is a brand of ExecutorPlus, Inc.
Will this Wi-Fi let your VPN, apps and calls through? One tap tells you.
