Roamin' Cards is a private memory journal that turns everyday moments into
polaroid-style cards you can hold, flip, and revisit — no social feed, no
algorithm, no account required. If you've tried a journaling app and found it
either too plain (a text box) or too public (a feed), this is the middle
ground: a tactile, photo-first diary that lives entirely on your device.
Every memory becomes a card: a photo, a short note, the place, the date, and
how it felt — tagged with a mood and, if you like, the weather. Cards land in
a hand-held deck you swipe through like a real stack of polaroids, with the
next one rising into place with a satisfying spring. Tap a card to flip it
over and read the full note on the back, alongside a small map of where it
happened. Browse the same memories three ways — as a deck, as pins on a world
map, or as a scrollable timeline grouped by month — and switch between them
anytime.
KEY FEATURES
✓ Polaroid-style cards — photo, title, date, place, mood, and weather, styled
like a real hand-placed photograph with paper texture and a soft tilt
✓ Three ways to browse — swipeable Deck, a world Map with mood-colored pins,
and a chronological Timeline grouped by month
✓ Tap-to-flip cards — the back holds your full note plus a small map of the
location, like a postmarked note on a real photo
✓ Collections — group cards into themed stacks such as "Travels," "Family," or
"Quiet Mornings," plus automatic Smart Groups by year, season, and mood
✓ Powerful filtering — search by text, date, mood, weather, place, or
collection, and save your favorite filter combinations for one-tap reuse
✓ On This Day — a gentle banner surfaces memories from the same date in past
years, right on your main screen
✓ Year in Memories — an annual retrospective collage of every card from a
chosen year, with stats like busiest month, top mood, and longest gap
between memories, shareable as an image
✓ Share as image — turn any card into a clean shareable picture for messages
or social apps, without ever putting your journal itself online
HOW IT WORKS
1. Tap the + button and add a photo from your camera or library.
2. Give it a title if you want one, set the date, add a place (typed, from
GPS, or picked on a map), write a short note, and pick a mood.
3. Save — the card lands at the top of your deck, ready to flip, swipe past,
or find again later on the map, the timeline, or inside a collection.
WHY ROAMIN' CARDS — this is not a social network and never will be: there is
no profile, no followers, no public feed, and nothing you save is ever
uploaded anywhere unless you personally choose to share a single card as an
image. Location and weather tagging are entirely optional and off by default.
The tactile deck, the paper texture, the gentle swipe physics — all of it is
built around one idea: your memories deserve to feel like something you can
hold, not just another row in a list.
PRIVACY / DATA — Roamin' Cards works fully offline for everyday use. Cards and
photos are stored only on your device. There is no account, no sign-in, and no
ad tracking. Camera and photo access are used only when you add a card.
Location access is used only if you tap "Use current location" or enable
auto-detect in Settings. An optional, no-account weather lookup can fill in
that day's weather automatically if you turn it on.
Ready to start your deck? Save your first memory and watch it build itself,
one card at a time.
Turn your moments into polaroid-style memory cards. No feed, no account.
