Classic Control is a CR200-style remote for your home speakers. It works with Sonos speakers on the same Wi-Fi - local UPnP control, no Classic Control account.

Independent app by Rob Fraser. Not the official Sonos app and not affiliated with Sonos, Inc. Use the official Sonos app for setup, household accounts, Trueplay, firmware, and music-service login.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Browse a Music Menu in the classic two-column tile layout
• Control rooms and groups on your LAN, including party / select all
• Play, pause, skip, seek, shuffle, repeat, and crossfade when the player exposes them
• Set volume (0-100) and mute, plus pause all / mute all
• Edit the queue - remove, reorder, clear, or save as a playlist
• Browse Favorites, Playlists, Music Library (with search), Radio, and household-linked music services
• Play a room's line-in into the active group and edit line-in settings when available
• Set alarms and a sleep timer
• Use a large clock from the Music Menu
• Switch Live LAN and Demo under Settings, and email the developer from About

HOW IT WORKS

Classic Control talks to players on your Wi-Fi with SSDP + SOAP UPnP. Optional catalogue browse for a linked music service uses that service's SMAPI endpoint. Playback still uses the household link you already set up in the official Sonos app. Classic Control does not run its own music-service OAuth and does not use a Spotify / Apple / Amazon web API.

Phone and speakers must be on the same Wi-Fi. UPnP / local control must be allowed. Some modern firmware hides account lists or blocks third-party browse for certain services - the app says so instead of faking a catalogue.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

There's no account, no ads and no tracking. Your settings stay on your phone, and Classic Control controls your Sonos speakers directly over your own Wi-Fi. See the privacy policy linked in the store listing and in Settings > About.
