In this visual novel, you play as the amnesiac jester Madion who woke up next to the king's lifeless body. He's trapped in a cursed kingdom with three potential love interests. Madion is torn between seeking the truth, helping the others, and a desire to escape.

From the author of Demonheart comes a new visual novel in a similarly dark setting, dealing with themes of murder, love, trust, and deceit.

Characters:

You play as Madion, the jester who has lost his memories. Having been forced into a life of chaos, uncertainty and deceit, Madion starts off feeling conflicted, jealous and spiteful. He needs to let go of his dark thoughts and redeem himself. You can make choices for him, affecting his relationships with the other characters.

Lady Lucille was forced to live in the king's palace while he waged war on her homeland. Quiet and cunning, she adapted quickly. Lucille believes she understands Madion, and is always there to support him.

An orphan of common origins, Calix received a favorable place in the palace thanks to his good looks and charisma. Some believed he was involved with the king, but Calix's eyes were set elsewhere.

As the king's alchemist, Edwina used to follow His Majesty's every command. She is strict and slightly paranoid, with a cold exterior, but Madion sees a different side of her.

Ratings and reviews

A phenomenal story that kept me guessing until the very end. Monetization takes the form of needing gems for certain choices, but if you're patient you never need to pay a dime. I didn't and was able to finish the game with my favorite character's ending in about a week. Viewing an ad will give you 30 gems, with the average price of unlocking a choice being 150 gems. You can view one ad every 45 minutes, so it takes a bit but you CAN see everything for free.

It's good... Though there should be more options to earn treasures, than just through payments and the occasional ad... And I've noticed, like many others have, that the voices cut in and out a lot. Which needs to be fixed. It'll be more immersive if at least most of it was voiced. But I am glad that at key moments you can hear what they sound like. And I do find the characters very interesting and surprisingly relatable in some ways. But I do hope the voice situation gets fixed soon.

This game is incredibly long and very well written. The lore is hard to keep up with at times, but otherwise it is very immersing. Also, the endings seem as if their lacking something, maybe and after epilogue? Anyways, this game is very fun and time consuming. Would reccommend if you have nothing to do.
