About this app

Handicap Tracker is a clean golf scoring app built for fast round entry and clear summaries. Keep your handicap up to date — and when you play with friends, use one device as the scorecard, or enable optional Groups so your regular partners can stay in sync.

Works offline by default. No sign-up, no passwords required.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Score 9 or 18 holes with quick, hole-by-hole entry
• See instant totals: gross, net, to-par, Stableford, and per-hole breakdowns
• Maintain a course database with par + stroke index (SI) and rating/slope
• Support multiple tee sets per course (choose the tee set used for a round)
• Track a WHS-style Handicap Index from your recorded rounds (including common adjustments such as net double bogey where relevant)
• Initial HI estimator (optional): enter past scores to estimate a starting HI when setting up a player
• Optional stats when you want them: putts, fairways (FIR), greens (GIR), penalties, bunker shots
• Share results: send a tidy round summary (PDF / share / email) after the round
• Guest players supported — with a reminder to share the PDF so they get a copy
• Backup/restore: automatic local backups plus manual export/import so you can keep an off-device copy
• Quick Round: a simple one-off scorecard on this device (not added to handicap/history)

GROUPS (OPTIONAL)

Create a Group so your regular partners can install the app and share the same players, courses and rounds.

Roles are simple:
• Owner: manages players/courses and saves the official group history
• Members: can start and score live rounds during play
• Viewers: read-only access

Live rounds let everyone follow scoring on their own device, then the owner saves the completed round into the group history. Group data is stored securely in Google Firebase Firestore so devices stay in sync.

PRIVACY & CONTROL

• No mandatory sign-up and no advertising SDKs
• Offline-first: your data stays on your device unless you export it or enable Groups
• Group owners can delete a group (and its shared cloud copy) from inside the app
• You can reset local data on a device at any time

NOTES

Handicap calculations are based on the scores and course setup you enter. They’re designed to be close to WHS, but always check your club/association for official competition requirements.
