Rooftop Signal - a timing game built around a horizontal meter placed under a construction crane. A marker travels along the meter from side to side and bounces back at both ends, and the single action button reads the position of the marker at the exact moment of the tap. A reading that lands inside the green band counts as a hit and adds points, and the narrow bright core in the middle of the band adds more than the outer part of the band. Consecutive hits build a series that raises the value of each following hit, and the series resets after a reading that falls outside the band. Every third hit moves the run to the next level, the marker starts moving faster and the green band becomes narrower, so the same tap has to be placed more precisely as the run goes on. Three readings outside the band end the run. The counter panel at the top of the game screen holds the current score, the current level and the number of remaining attempts, and the pause button opens a panel with options to continue the run, start it again from a clean state or leave to the menu. The final panel shows the score of the finished run, the top result kept between launches and the amount of virtual coins added for the run. Those coins are spent in the upgrade section, which holds four positions: a wider green band, an extra attempt at the start of a run, a stronger starting series and a slower marker. Each position has its own level shown as a row of dots and its own price that grows with every level taken, and every level applies at the start of the next run. Settings hold a vibration switch, an effects switch for screen shake and particles, a difficulty selector with three positions that changes the marker speed and the starting number of attempts for a new run, the top result with a reset next to it, and a full progress reset that clears coins and upgrades. Top result, coins, upgrade levels and all settings are stored on the device and stay after the application is closed. A separate section describes the rules of the meter, the green band and the end of a run.
A marker slides across a meter and a tap reads where it stopped.
