About this app

Our application tries to inform users interested in the operation and problems of our current model of electricity generation and consumption. For this we are going to develop two basic functionalities. On the one hand, a short introduction and, on the other, a graphic sample of the data that we will obtain from the API of the Spanish Electricity Network.

When opening the application we find the SplashScreen formed by the logo and the name of the application, "LUMEN". A few seconds later we will automatically arrive (after finishing the animation) at the MainActivity, which will be a small menu where we can choose the different sections of the application "How does it work?", "Ecological impact" and "Market and Consumption".

How does it work?

It will contain an article that will explain basic notions about the electrical system, power generation, electricity market, environmental impact...

Ecological Impact - Market and Consumption

These sections will show statistics of their corresponding data as we can see in the fourth image of the infographic. We are going to develop a Tabbed Activity divided into three fragments that will show the tabs in which the statistics will be filtered by: day, month and year.
