Renaissance Cinemas, Al Arabia Cinema's theatrical arm has been around since February 1998. Al Arabia Cinema acquired Renaissance in 2000 and from this date onwards, the company had one goal in mind, a goal which is derived from the company's mission statement:

"We at Renaissance believe that the Egyptian Cinema Industry has yet a lot to offer. Movie theaters are an integral part of this huge industry. Our goal is to be the country’s most strategic and integrated movie theater company, providing the maximum results for our shareholders and, above all, to the industry itself."

Renaissance Cinemas today is the leading cinema chain in Egypt with locations all around Cairo as well as other cities and is one of the leading cinema chains in the MENA region as a whole.
