I had this app for less than 24 hours and I deleted it. I've been comfortable using the browser and texting (although I was unsubscribed from text alerts accidentally and it was difficult to get them back). I tried the app and it kept closing out due to an error. 1 time I'd open it and be able to see my schedule (assignment accepted for a future date). 10 minutes later I'd open it again and nothing would show on the schedule. I'm going back to the browser, and hopefully my texting alerts will

The Red Rover app is more convenient than other substitute systems because it allows you to select your preferences, such as schools, districts, and teaching versus aide assignments. This flexibility makes it easier to find jobs that fit your experience. However, jobs disappear quickly after notifications are sent. Even if a school requests you, someone else can accept the job first, and there are not always many positions available.

Not the best. I can't mute certain categories of jobs I'm not interested in. They keep showing in the long list, and I have to manually dismiss each one so I have the clean list I can look through. Some job descriptions are heavily abbreviated. I have to Google them in order to understand what they are (STEM?). Grade levels are only mentioned for elementary schools, but they matter for the middle and high as well. The list doesn't update often. I have close the app and then opened it again.

School may be out for the summer, but we definitely aren't! We've been busy giving the absence creation screens a fresh new look. So when you do need to log an absence, it's smooth sailing from start to finish.
