About this app

Track satellite passes with ease!

Thanks to Celestrak and SatNOGS you have access to over 9000 active satellites.
You can search the entire database by NORAD Catalog Number or the satellite's name.

Orbital positions and passes are calculated relative to your location.
To get reliable data make sure to set the station position via the app Settings.

The application is built using Kotlin, Coroutines, Jetpack Compose and Navigation.
It is now and always will be completely ad-free and open-source.

Main features:

  • Predicting satellite positions and passes for up to 10 days

  • Showing the list of currently active and upcoming satellite passes

  • Showing the active pass progress, polar trajectory and transceivers info

  • Showing the satellite positional data, footprint and ground track on the map

  • Custom TLE satellite data import is available via Three Line Element .txt files

  • Offline first: calculations are made offline. Weekly TLE data update is recommended.

The app has potential, but it is very raw, buggy and hard to use at this time. Developer's choices are illogical. Examples: SSTV reception tab for satellites that do not transmit SSTV. No way to lookup satellite info, until it is "tracked". Zero search capabilities. Custom list import does not work. No filtering. The app needs focused work instead of implementing unnecessary functionality like SSTV reception.

I work on things that I like and find useful. The fact that other people can use this app is a nice side-effect =) That's what a true open source is after all!

First of all, love love love the app. I use it all the time to supplement my SatNOGS station. I've noticed that I cannot remove satellites from my "Passes" list under certain conditions: - The satellite has de-orbitted and its catalog number is no longer among published TLE. - The catalog number changes. I can add the new Cat number satellite, but can't remove the old. And, as the old TLE becomes outdated, it becomes inaccurate Still, awesome little app.

This app looks great! However it is a bit challenging to interpret the frequencies for linear repeaters. It would be better if the range for both uplink and downlink were displayed (which can be much wider than typical 3 kHz SSB). Also, frequencies are displayed reversed from common nomenclature (typically I see uplink/downlink, e.g. in terminology like V/U, but this app uses the order downlink/uplink).

What’s new

* Enabled continuous SSTV decoding for manually selected types (Play button enables/disables decoding)
* Added selected transceiver\'s frequency display to SSTV page
* Fixed Reset/Save/Play buttons behavior and states on SSTV page
