What a miserable clunky app experience. But the worst part -- once I got over the fact that this expensive door that presents itself as smartphone-integrated cannot be directly controlled from a mobile device -- is that the product team apparently missed or ignored the requirement of being able to use local sunrise/sunset ("GPS") time with a user configurable offset. I have to either live with the vagaries of an offset based on the light sensor, use precise GPS times, or manual control.

The app will configure the door like it says, even allowing you do it by your GPS location. It may be better if it was laid out differently. It seems a little confusing at first until you play with it a bit. I don't think it needed access to my info like I saw in other comments. It didn't give me any problems. It wasn't glitchy or anything. The battery power tracker in the app, I think is just going off the date you activate it. There is no actual reading going on other than the calander date.
