About this app

Chartmark opens the PDF cross stitch charts you already own and lets you mark your stitches on the screen, on a phone or a tablet.

WHAT IT DOES
• Opens a chart PDF and finds the grid, the symbols and the thread list
• Pinch to zoom, drag to move, tap or swipe to mark stitches (and undo)
• Light one colour: see only that symbol, with the number of stitches left
• Thread list with stitch counts and what is left for each colour
• Made for large charts: tested with a 650 × 487 chart in 87 colours
• The screen stays on while you stitch
• Your place and your marks are saved on the device

• Free to download. Everything works with your own PDFs for 7 days from the day you first open the app.
• After that, a one-time in-app purchase keeps everything open. Not a subscription, no account, no ads.
• Nothing is charged when the trial ends. You pay only if you choose to unlock.
• Without the unlock, your charts, marks and progress stay on your device and can still be opened, and the two sample charts stay free.
• Bought Chartmark before it became free to try? Everything stays open on your device. No need to buy again.

PRIVATE
• The app has no internet access. Your charts and marks never leave your device.
• There is no sharing feature. Your charts stay with you.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU UNLOCK
• It reads PDF charts that contain real text and lines, such as the ones exported by pattern software. Tested with charts from Heaven and Earth Designs, Artecy, Fat Quarter Shop, Lizzie Kate and others.
• It cannot read charts saved as pictures or scans yet. The app tells you when a PDF is of that kind.
• Half stitches and backstitch cannot be marked yet.
• Not every chart will work. If one of yours does not open, please write to [e-mail] with the name of the designer, and we will work on it. Try your own PDFs during the 7-day free trial before you unlock.
• Two built-in sample charts let you try the marking before you open your own PDF.
• English and Japanese.

We are a small software company in Japan. This app is not affiliated with any pattern designer or thread maker. Names of designers are used only to say which charts were tested.
