Finally, what I was looking for. I have been trying to learn for years. Duolingo can only take you so far being a glorified flash-card app. This is the bridge in between memorizing words and phrases, and becoming conversational. These short stories, so far, as I am working toward the more advanced ones, are helping me familiarize with common verbs in context, as well as see what natural conversation looks like in the Russian tongue. 10/10 would recommend to the dedicated learner.

I really, really love this app. My only con is not having a 'pause' or 'stop' feature once it starts reading. I very often like to select one word to hear its pronunciation. Other than that I really, really love this app. To everyone complaining of price: this doesn't even COME CLOSE to what so many other learning tools, programs and classes cost and this is a goldmine of learning...perspective.

This is a great app to use for those starting out in Russian. It starts off with very easy beginners books that would be suitable for children, or just expanding your vocabulary in a manner that is not overly cumbersome. Would be a bit easier if the English translations were exact, such as saying в огороде means "in the garden" as opposed to "in the vegetable garden." A minor thing, but can be a bit confusing when I understand сад to mean garden. Please continue to make content for this app!
