Bid with your partner, take your tricks, and watch a row of hustlers turn a modest contract into a score that runs off the table. Rigged is a roguelike deckbuilder built on real partnership Spades: your team's bid sets the multiplier, your tricks set the chips, and missing the contract drops the multiplier to x1.
HOW A RUN WORKS
- Eight antes, three tables each: the Locals, the Ringers and The Boss
- Every table is a score to beat in four deals of five cards
- Discard and redraw, bid, play your tricks, and the score adds up deal by deal
- Clear the table, collect the pot, and spend it in the shop
THE SHARKS
- 70 Sharks: the hustlers who rig every hand
- Plus chips, plus mult, times mult, and rule-benders that change trump, hand size and bags
- They fire left to right, chips before mult before times mult, so where you put one is half of what it is worth
- Foil, holographic, polychrome and negative editions
YOUR PARTNER
- Six partners with their own styles: Dot never over-bids, Pike bids over his hand, Sister Ruth covers your Nil
- They level up during a run and play sharper as they do
- You make or miss the contract together
BAGS: THE MULTIPLIER THAT BITES BACK
Every overtrick is a bag. Some of the best Sharks feed on bags, and too many cost you a deal. Overshooting your bid is your biggest engine and the thing most likely to end the run.
TWENTY BOSSES
Every third table changes a rule. The Void will not let you lead trump. Trump Flip makes hearts trump. The Whale doubles the target and hands you two extra deals. Four of them go after the partnership itself.
