About this app

QRefine is a QR code scanner, generator and manager in one app. Scan with the camera, create a code from text or binary data, and keep everything you scan in a searchable list.

Unlike a basic QR scanner, QRefine reads the detailed parameters of a code and lets you generate with them, so a scanned code can be reproduced with the same pattern instead of being re-encoded into a different one.

If your camera recognizes a code but shows nothing, or another app turns it into garbled text, the code is not broken. QRefine gets the data out: the raw bytes are shown as hex, and the text can be read as the code specifies (ECI or Kanji mode) or in the encoding you choose (UTF-8 / Shift_JIS / ISO-8859-1). Reading in another encoding requires "Retrieve detailed info" to be enabled when scanning.

■ Scanner
- Scan QR codes with the camera
- Import an image and detect the code inside it
- Read a code from a screenshot or a photo in your gallery
- Read binary payloads that a normal QR code reader cannot display
- View the scanned content as text or as hex
- Re-read scanned text in a different encoding, or as the code specifies

■ Generator
- Create a QR code from text you type in
- Create one from binary data entered as hex
- Create one from a file, with its content embedded as binary data (Pro, or free by watching an ad)
- Generate with a specific error correction level, mask pattern and QR version
- Turn a blurry or low-resolution code into a clean, scannable image
- Save the result as a PNG
- Export binary data as a file and share it with other apps

■ Manager
Most QR code apps give you a scan history. QRefine gives you a library.
- Name everything you save
- Add a memo to each entry
- Organize your codes into folders (Pro)
- Search by name or memo
- Sort and reorder your list
- Delete what you no longer need
- Back up the whole list to a file
- Restore it on a new device

■ About binary QR codes
QRefine is built around binary support. Game codes and enterprise codes often carry raw binary rather than text, and a normal QR code scanner either fails on them or mangles the data. QRefine reads the binary exactly, shows it as hex, lets you edit it, and generates it back out.

■ Who uses QRefine
- Developers and QA engineers testing payloads, error correction levels and mask patterns
- Business and enterprise users handling binary data in QR codes
- Players who receive game codes as images and need a scannable version
- Anyone who collects Wi-Fi, ticket, payment or contact codes and wants them organized

■ QRefine Pro
QRefine remains free: everything the app could do before is still free. QRefine Pro is an optional plan for those who want more.
- No ads
- Use folders and file-based QR creation without watching ads
- Choose a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase

■ Other features
- Dark mode
- A simple interface with no clutter
- Scan, create, organize and reuse, all in one place

If you need a QR code reader that is accurate, a generator that is precise, and somewhere to organize what you keep, QRefine is the QR code app for you.

QR Code is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED in Japan and in other countries.

What’s new

What's new in this version
– You can now change how a QR code's text is displayed. On the details screen, read it as the QR code specifies (ECI or Kanji mode), or in an encoding you choose (UTF-8 / Shift_JIS / ISO-8859-1). The raw bytes are still shown as hex, and the original data is always kept.
– This requires "Retrieve detailed info" to be enabled in the Camera tab before scanning.
