LOG A SHOT IN SECONDS
Grind setting, dose, yield, time. Then say how it tasted: sour or bitter, weak or strong. That is the whole entry.

GET ONE CLEAR ADJUSTMENT
Most espresso trackers hand you a log and let you interpret it. Barra reads your last shot against your machine's real limits and names the single change to make next — grind two steps finer, run it three seconds longer, raise the brew temperature a degree. It never suggests a grind setting your grinder cannot reach.

THE TUNING TRAIL
Every shot for a coffee plots on one banded chart, so you can watch your numbers converge on the target ratio instead of guessing. When a shot lands, lock it in — Barra keeps it as the dialed-in recipe for that bean on that machine, stamped and ready to pull again.

10 espresso machines and 25 grinders come preloaded — Gaggia, Breville, De'Longhi, Decent, Ninja, KitchenAid, Baratza, Niche, Eureka, Fellow, 1Zpresso, Comandante, Timemore, Kingrinder, Turin, Hario and more. Pair a grinder to a machine and one grind number means the same thing every time. Barra adapts to what you own: the grind range, the step size, whether you dose by weight, time or volume, whether brew temperature is yours to set. Not on the list? Add your own espresso machine or grinder by hand.

A COFFEE LIBRARY, ALREADY FILLED IN
492 coffees from 40 roasters, specialty and supermarket both, with roast level, origin, process and tasting notes prefilled. Scan a barcode or enter beans manually, track roast dates, and see what is open and what is running low.
