You can feel fluent in a verse right up to the moment you are not.

Someone memorizing the Quran without a teacher beside them has a problem that is hard to solve alone: it is very difficult to tell what you still know. Reading the page again feels like revision. Reciting it in your head quietly fills the gaps for you. The mistake usually shows itself only when another person is listening.

Rundown listens.

Choose the verse you want to recite. Tap once and recite it from memory. The words brighten as it follows you, so you can see where it thinks you are. When you stop, it tells you one of three things:

• you recited it through
• the word where the recitation left the text
• that it could not hear you well enough to be sure

That third answer matters as much as the other two. If the room was too loud, or the phone was too far away, or the words simply did not come through clearly, it says so rather than deciding. An app that invents a mistake sends you back to relearn a verse you already had, and it teaches you not to trust what it says.

The words it flags are kept in one list, so you can return to the exact places that gave way instead of repeating whole surahs.

Rundown is not a Quran reader and does not replace one. There is no translation and no tafsir. It does not score pronunciation or tajweed, and it does not grade how beautiful a recitation sounds. There is no account, no leaderboard, and no streak to keep. It has one job: to help you find out what you still have.
