Sailing Log is a focused, offline logbook built by sailors, for sailors — your ship's log, crew, costs and damage protocol in one pocket app.
Whether you're chartering for a week in the Med, skippering a flotilla, running a delivery or owning your own boat, Sailing Log turns every trip into the clean documents your charter company, your crew and your insurer actually want. No accounts, no analytics, no subscription.
SHIP'S LOG
• One-tap LOG POSITION NOW captures GPS, time, course (COG), speed (SOG) and a best-effort bay/beach name from OpenStreetMap.
• Add wind, weather, sea state, visibility, propulsion (sail / motor / motorsailing / anchored / moored / drifting) and free notes.
• Live track map shows your route as it grows, with start / latest markers and every saved spot.
TRIPS, VESSEL & CREW
• Set up each trip with vessel name, model, call sign, registration, LOA, beam, draft, year, berths, engine, base harbour, sailing area, charter price and itemised extras.
• Up to 3 vessel photos in a swipeable carousel.
• Pick a Skipper with one tap — everyone else is crew automatically.
• Reuse names from previous trips; new member auto-prefills the surname (perfect for families).
• Skipper carries boat and radio licence numbers; licence photos live in Settings.
SPOTS & ANCHORAGES
• Save a spot with one tap — auto-identifies the cove, bay or beach, add a note and up to 2 photos.
• Stays over an hour are detected from your track and offered as suggested spots.
COSTS & COST-SPLITTING
• Log every expense (food, marina, fuel, buoy, parking, flights, tolls, repairs, insurance…).
• Mark each cost Shared (split equally) or Individual.
• Optional groups (families / cabins) — settle by member or by group.
• Settlement engine: paid − fair share = balance, then the minimal "who pays whom" transfers so everyone ends up equal.
