About this app

Turn sailing GPS and instrument logs into a clear, interactive debrief.

SailViewer imports supported sailing files, keeps your working library on your device, and helps you explore tracks, tables, graphs, polars, starts, races, boats, and maneuvers. Open several logs to compare a fleet, adjust selections and settings, then share a local image from supported analysis windows.

LEARN WITH SYNTHETIC SAMPLES

The bundled sample logs contain synthetic sailing data and start closed. Open a sample deliberately when you are ready to explore the workspace.

IMPORT YOUR OWN LOGS

Use Android’s document picker to import SW2, SLV, GPX, KML, NMEA, VTK, FIT, VKX, a supported CSV source, or a supported ZIP archive. Keep your original source file as your own backup.

ANALYSE LOCALLY

Use Track, Table, Graph, Polar, Start, Race, Boat, and Maneuvers views as supported by the selected data. Map backgrounds are optional. Tablets provide more room for several analysis windows; phones use a focused two-view layout without removing ordinary analysis features.

FREE ACCESS IN THIS RELEASE

Ordinary non-folding Android phones, including large phones, have permanently free local access and do not require weekly license checks.

All Android tablets, including small tablets, and all foldable or flip phones are free through 31 December 2026. These devices require an internet connection for initial activation and at least once every seven days. Free access ends on 1 January 2027 at 00:00 UTC, when a paid subscription will be required. Purchasing will require a future app update; this release cannot take payments. There is no automatic charge. If access expires, your local library is retained.

PRIVACY AND SUPPORT

Imported sailing files are not automatically uploaded. Optional error reports and usage summaries are off by default and can be withdrawn independently. A support report is sent only when you choose to send it; original sailing files are not attached automatically.

THE NEW SAILVIEWER APP

This package is separate from the legacy SailViewer/TruSailViewer product. Existing manually issued codes in the old app remain unchanged. Automatic library transfer is not promised. Retain your original files and import supported formats into the new app.
