About this app

Salfeld’s Child Control can provide safe filtered Internet with parental control features, once you activate the app with your account details from Salfeld. Child Control runs both on Android phones and tablets and filtering can be tuned from any PC with any OS connected to the Internet.

The App can be used up to 30 days for free. After this period a licence is needed. See our homepage for more information.

Important notes:
This app uses the Device Administrator permission. This will prevent a user from uninstalling Salfeld Child Control App without your knowledge.

Salfeld Child Control uses AccessibilityService API to collect data about websites viewed through browsers on your child's device. It is also used to prevent the child from removing permissions without a parent’s authentication.

Optionally, the app uses the VpnService API to provide a system-wide web filter. This VPN mode works purely locally on the device and does not reroute personal data through external servers.

If it gives you the option to go to an unblocked app, you can click on an app and then hit the square two times and if you do it really fast, it won't block you from the last app that you were usingwhen it blocked you. this won't work if you are flagged for "Manipulation" or if it tells you to "Pause".

Great app, the best or one of the best apps I've tested. It is really well thought. Works smoothly in web and mobile. What I find especially important is: - child and parent get notification window about time limit approaching - allows to extend fast - checking allowed/blocked apps - it uses AI for explanation - screenshots - help a lot - each type of app has some shortcomings - you can periodically check a screen to get what happens really - time extension codes I am happy with it.

My parents installed this app on my phone, it was annoying at the start but after a week or so I found a way to play games after my time was up, but sadly the app still paused YouTube videos. After like on more week I found a better way that also let me watch YouTube videos after my time was up, sadly like the first one I could only start using this after my time was up. Then I found an even better way that I could use at any time, it stopped the timer of the app and let me go to the settings.
