Sanctuary is a quiet place to write — and it keeps what you write on your phone.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Works entirely offline. Sanctuary doesn't even request internet access.
• Your journal is stored in an encrypted database on your device.
• No account, no sign-up, no cloud servers. There are no ads and no trackers.
• Lock your journal with your fingerprint, face, or device PIN.
• Export an encrypted backup whenever you like — you stay in control of your data.

A CALM PLACE TO WRITE
• A distraction-free editor. Nothing pops up while you write.
• A Timeline of your entries, tags to keep them organized, and keyword search.
• A Calendar that marks the days you wrote.
• Write about any past day — backdate an entry to when it happened.
• Add photos, choose a font for each entry, and give cards a soft color.
• "On this day" gently brings back what you wrote before.
• Swipe to delete, with undo — nothing is lost by accident.

GENTLE HELP, ONLY WHEN YOU ASK
• Clean Up Text fixes typos and flow while keeping your own voice.
• One-line recap sums up a longer entry in a single line.
These features are powered by Gemini Nano, Google's on-device AI, running locally on your phone. Your words are never sent anywhere by Sanctuary. They need a supported device (such as recent Pixel phones); on other phones, Sanctuary works fully as a journal and simply tells you the feature isn't available.
