Having purchased several versions of Vantrue cameras I will say that the app has improved over time and makes it very convenient to download videos directly to your phone without needing to remove the SD card. Probably the only thing I would ask out of the app is that it would download to your phone automatically when it's able to without interrupting the recording method or having to do a manual download, like if your phone is connected it still records and downloads at the same time.

Decent app, excellent customer service. I've been using Vantrue cameras for a few years now. I don't remember having any issues registering for an account. I've reinstalled across several new devices without issue. Initially, connecting to the camera was a bit finicky, but that seems to have been resolved. Recently, their customer service also helped resolve a hardware issue. I am a happy customer.

If you're looking for a reliable cloud-connected camera and app, look elsewhere (eg, BlackVue). Remote camera access has been down since yesterday and support says they're still working on getting "overseas" servers back up (I'm in the US). Even when up, it's slow and inconsistent, no doubt because they have no in-country servers so all video is proxied through overseas servers, adding significant latency. This is poor design and the lack of redundancy is inexcusable.
