Mazameen-e-Patras (Urdu: مضامینِ پطرس — English: Essays of Patras) is an anthology of 11 satirical essays (also counted as 12, including book's preface) often suggested as a must read in Urdu literary world. This slim little volume is a goldmine so far satire in Urdu goes. Patras happens to be still relevant and his satire is still refreshing and thought-provoking.

مضامینِ پطرس، طنز و مزاح پر مشتمل 11 مضامین کا شگفتہ اور سدا بہار مجموعہ ہے جسے اردو کے ادبی حلقوں میں لازمی مطالعہ کرنے والی کتب میں شمار کیا جاتا ہے۔ کتاب سے پہلے پطرس کا شامل کردہ دیباچہ بھی کچھ کم پر لطف نہیں ہے، اس لیے بعض نقاد مضامین کی تعداد گیارہ کی بجائے 12 شمار کرتے ہیں۔
جھوٹ بولنے کی تُک نہیں بنتی۔ میں نے اب تک یہ مضامین پڑھے نہیں۔ بس یہ کہہ لیں کہ جتنا ٹال سکتا تھا ٹالا، تاکہ جب بھی پڑھوں، ایسا پڑھوں کہ ہر لفظ سے کما حقہ لطف کشید ہو سکے۔ نویں جماعت میں ہماری اردو کی درسی کتاب میں مضمون نمبر ۳ (کتے) موجود تھا اور ایسا لوٹ پوٹ کرنے والا تھا کہ کچھ نہ پوچھیے۔ وہیں یہ ذکر ملا کہ آنجناب نے یہ ایک ہی خزانہ اردو کو دیا ہے۔ تبھی سے بقیہ مضامین کو پڑھنے کی طلب پیدا ہوئی جو بوجوہ سالوں بعد آج اس ایپ کی شکل میں بالآخر پوری ہونے جا رہی ہے۔ اردو مزاح کا یہ لا زوال سرمایہ آپ بھی پڑھیے، میں بھی پڑھتا ہوں۔

I cannot explain how wonderful this app this. Everything in perfect order, no ads and even better than many paid apps. Great interface, perfect nastaliq font and no images. The developer is extra ordinary skill ful. I wish I knew your apps way before, but it's never too late. Great work for the promotion of amazing urdu literature. Keep it up😊

So glad that I found this app. The app is well built, there are no annoying ads and the font and background contrast is well suited for long duration reading.

Great app to retain and revive the great works of patras bukhari but should add a feature that allows to find meanings of urdu words that we do not commonly hear. I am sure millennials like myself would enjoy his works a lot more if we could have the meanings as well
