About this app

Auris turns your flashcards into audio. Your cards are read out loud — question, a pause to think, then the answer — so you can learn while running, commuting, cooking or walking the dog. Screen off, phone in your pocket, hands free.

TWO WAYS TO STUDY

Audio Mode plays your deck like a podcast: question, pause, answer, next card. Nothing to tap, nothing to look at. Standard Mode gives you the classic visual card stack for the times you can actually look at your phone.

BUILT FOR MOVING

Auris keeps playing with the screen off and the app in the background. Pause, skip and resume straight from the lock screen or your headphone buttons. Set the speaking speed to match what you are doing — slow when you are learning something new, fast when you are just refreshing.

WORKS WITH YOUR ANKI DECKS

Already have decks? Import your Anki .apkg files, cloze cards included, and start listening to them right away. You can export your flashcards back to Anki at any time — your cards stay yours, in a format you can take with you.

MADE FOR REAL STUDY SESSIONS

Search across all your decks. Shuffle the order or reverse it to start with your newest cards. Skip the ones you have parked. Blur the next card so you cannot peek ahead. Mark cards as known or not known and watch your statistics build up over time.

COMPLETELY OFFLINE, COMPLETELY PRIVATE

Auris needs no account and no sign-up. There are no ads, no tracking and no analytics of any kind. The app makes no network connections at all — your flashcards never leave your phone.
