Your location is used only to send coordinates to connected cameras. Alpha GPS does not create or sell a location history. Optional diagnostic reporting can be disabled at any time.

I almost couldn't believe there is an app that covers exactly this niche use case. I only just tried it, but it worked super well so far. It has a lot of additional configuration options, and the cherry on top is that it even looks nice and clean. I love it ✨️

Absolutely fantastic app! works way better than the sony version. very reliable and accurate and love how you can customise certain things like your phone just vibrating when it connects to your camera rather than an audible notification (handy if you want a confirmation of connection but without the audible notification all the time). Doesnt seem to use much battery either. Highly recommend!!

Rally great little app. I am now using for GPS, Time, and TimeZone, syncing from one phone to three Sony cameras. Unlike IEM, I don't have to choose which camera, or which service, it just works. Lots of useful guidance to make sure it starts with the phone and keeps running too. I will still use IEM for image transfer, but this gets the gold stars for GPS, Time, and Time Zone sync. Fine grained control could be nice, toggles for GPS, Time, Time Zone etc, but most users won't need that!
