Indian Lake Fish Tracker is a fishing-conditions app built for one lake: Indian Lake, Ohio. Instead of generic tips, every recommendation comes from live weather, live water temperature, and lake-specific survey data for the exact spots, species, and lures that actually work here.

WHAT IT DOES

- Hourly bite forecast — scores the next several days hour by hour for your target species (Saugeye, Crappie, Bluegill, Channel Catfish, Flathead Catfish, Largemouth Bass, White Bass, or Yellow Perch), factoring in time of day, barometric pressure trend, wind, cloud cover, moon phase and solunar timing, water temperature, and lake level trend — with a full breakdown of exactly why an hour scored the way it did.

- Best spots, ranked live — 15 cataloged Indian Lake spots (deep holes, timber structure, marina docks, firm-bottom flats, public shore access) ranked in real time for your species and current conditions, each with a plain-language reason and a matching lure/bait and color recommendation.

- Interactive lake map — the actual Indian Lake fishing map with color-coded pins for the top-ranked spots. Tap anywhere on the water to pull up a multi-hour forecast for whichever spot is nearest.

- Catch log — log what you actually caught, with species, location, size, lure, notes, and a photo. Get quick insights (best time-of-day bucket, your top lure by species) and export or import your log as CSV.

- Fish ID reference — identification marks for the 13 species you'll find at Indian Lake, plus current Ohio daily limits and minimum sizes.

WHERE THE DATA COMES FROM

Forecasts pull from Open-Meteo (weather), USGS (live water temperature and lake level), the National Weather Service, and Ohio BeachGuard — all public data sources, refreshed live. Spot and species profiles are built from Ohio DNR surveys, Ohio Geological Survey sonar mapping, and a 2024–2025 lakebed sediment/DO survey.
