What is Synthium?
Synthium is a relaxing puzzle game about combining real elements. Start with 12 basic atoms — Hydrogen, Oxygen, Carbon, Iron, and more — and work your way up through 200+ elements to everyday objects, materials, and machines. No timers, no fail states, no penalty for experimenting. If you enjoy chemistry games, crafting puzzles, or anything built around discovery, Synthium is that kind of game.
How You Play
Drop 2 to 5 ingredients into the Reactor and combine them. Get it right, and you'll see the result fuse together on screen. Discover something for the first time and it's celebrated on the spot — a small win that never feels forced.
A simple example: two Hydrogen and one Oxygen make Water. Water and Iron make Rust. Combine further and you're building toward Steel, Concrete, Circuits, all the way to rockets and satellites. Every element sits somewhere in that chain, and you can always see how.
Many elements also have more than one valid recipe. Finding a second route to something you already know is its own small discovery — the game keeps track of which routes you've found, not just which elements.
Real Elements, Real Objects
Synthium starts where real chemistry does — combine actual atoms into water, salts, and acids. From there, keep building: derived materials, machines, and everyday technology, each one connected to what it's actually made of. Nothing fantastical, no made-up materials — just a chain from atoms to the objects around you, simplified enough to stay a game, not a chemistry textbook.
Two Views to Explore
The Molecule view shows any element as a visual diagram — how it connects to what it's made of, and what it can become. The Analysis view does the opposite: pick any compound and peel it back, layer by layer, down to its base atoms. Between the two, you always understand the "why" behind what you're building, not just the "what."
Milestones & Eras
Progress is organized into eras — Survival, Agricultural, Industrial, Chemical, Electronic, Nuclear, Space — each with its own set of milestones and a UI accent color that shifts as you advance. Reaching a new era never locks anything behind it: every recipe you've discovered keeps working, no matter how far you've progressed. Milestones give you a sense of direction without ever forcing a specific path.
Daily Challenge
Alongside the main game, Synthium has a separate Daily Challenge: a bite-sized puzzle that resets every day, with its own scoring and leaderboard through Google Play Games. Connecting your account is entirely optional and never required to play — it's there if you want to compare your results, and invisible if you don't.
