About this app

PDFos opens a PDF from your file manager, from a share, or from inside the app, and keeps the editing tools in the same place, so you do not need a second app to change a document.

READING
• Continuous scrolling with a page counter, and a go to page control for long documents
• Night mode inverts the page so light text sits on a dark background
• Pinch to zoom in on a page, and tap the page to clear the toolbars out of the way
• Opens from any file manager that offers Open with, and from the Android share sheet

SIGNING AND MARKING UP
• Sign with your finger, and keep a signature to reuse on the next document
• Draw freehand with a pen, a marker or a highlighter, in five colours and three widths
• Add text, checkmarks, crosses and circles, then drag them, resize them or delete them
• Undo and redo as you work, and hide what you added to compare against the original page
• Crop and rotate one page, or apply the same change to every page

ORGANISING
• Merge several PDFs into one, and drag the list to set the order before you commit
• Split a document after the pages you choose
• Save only the pages you want, entered as a range such as 1-3, 5, 7-10
• Compress at one of three quality settings, and see the size before and after

PROTECTING
• Save a copy locked with a password
• Open a password protected PDF by entering its password

SCANNING
• Scan pages with the camera into a new PDF, or bring in images you already have

PRINTING AND SHARING
• Print through the Android print dialog
• Share a document to any app, and rename the copy first if you want to

EVERY EDIT IS PREVIEWED FIRST
Merging, signing, compressing, cropping and rotating open the result as a preview. Nothing overwrites your original until you choose Save and pick where the new file goes.

ABOUT YOUR FILES
PDFos works only on the files you hand it. It uses the Android file picker, so it never asks for access to all files on your phone, and it cannot see documents you have not opened. Reading, signing, compressing and password protection all run on the device. There is no account and no sign in step.

The page scanner and the review prompt come from Google Play services, which is why the app lists network permissions. PDFos does not upload your documents.
