The planet is facing a climate crisis and every living being can feel its effects. Every year, we consume more resources than the planet can produce which means that we are using those allocated for future generations. The continuing and worsening climate crisis robs everyone of their future.
All over the world, the youth are making their voices heard. They are demanding action and are asking everyone to take part in the solution. They have demonstrated their commitment to solving this issue and are asking for adults and fellow children to do the same. They are asking governments and business leaders to listen and take action.
We must save the planet to save the children.
Save The Children along with the children and young people from Asia co-created and co-developed the concept of My Forest Child application & website. Our pilot countries for this initiative include Nepal and Pakistan. As part of the co-creation process, Save the Children ran a series of children & youth consultation sessions through Digital Hangouts to engage children and youth in co-creating and co-developing mobile and web applications.
