AudioText Assistant is a hands-free communication assistant that empowers users with vision disabilities to engage with the world around them more easily. Whether you're navigating menus and websites, reading chat messages, or following instructions on public transportation apps, AudioText Assistant can transform your digital experience.
The purpose of AudioText Assistant is to assist users with vision disabilities, especially those with a limited field of view (such as those with retinal diseases). It incorporates the Android AccessibilityService API and is completely safe to use, as it doesn't store or steal any sensitive user information.
To start using the app:
. Open the app and follow the instructions to activate the Audiotext Assistant service.
. Once the service is activated, a red speaker icon will appear in the center of the screen.
. Go to the app from which you want to read the text, touch any text, and tap to listen to it.
. To disable the reading, tap on the speaker icon.
. If the speaker icon covers important parts of the screen, you can move it by simply dragging it with your finger.
. to disable the whole service go in the phone settings, accessibility, and deactivate AudioText Assistant.
AudioText Assistant is completely safe to use and strictly adheres to the Android AccessibilityService API guidelines outlined by Google Play. We value your privacy and assure you that your sensitive information is never stored or shared.

In particular, it doesn't change user settings without the explicit consent of the user, doesn't record any remote audio calls, or record the user's screen.
It doesn't change user settings without their permission or prevent the ability for users to disable or uninstall any app or service unless authorized by a parent or guardian through a parental control app or by authorized administrators through enterprise management software.
It doesn't work around Android built-in privacy controls and notifications or change or leverage the user interface in a way that is deceptive or otherwise violates Play Developer Policies.

Basically, AudioText Assistant is a limited screen reader that doesn't read the entire screen and requires user interaction to read text by simply tapping the desired text to hear it being spoken.
