If I wanted caller ID I'd get an app to do that I loved this calculator app, it needed nothing changed. I have downgraded my review to 1 star because it isn't OK to just add a random feature like caller ID to an app like this. I know you can disable it but I shouldn't have to. ----- Previous review----- I've wanted a calculator application that accurately mimics a physical calculator (specifically the ability to input a full equation before evaluating it) for years. This is the first one I have come across that does that.
Absolutely Terrible Spyware Negative reviews receive damage control messages. They justify their caller Id by saying you can disable it but it shouldn't be there in the first place. I understand you want to make money but this was the wrong way to go about it. Why do this on a calculator app? My casio doesn't also function as spyware and neither should this. No user benefits from this regardless of what you claim.
Caller ID Scam Gains access to your phone calls and records so that for every phone call you make, the maker gets money by bombarding you with ads. May or may not sell your contact information to companies. They're afraid to mention caller ID scam in description, you know something is up. It's a shady way to make money. Then they respond with feigned empathy. Beware.
Dont touch my phone calls! Hey whats 2+2? Oh jee i donno lemme consult your contact list and see whos called!!! Why is this calculator app telling me about my phone calls?? IT HAS ONE JOB. And that is to tell me what 2 + 2 is!!!!!! Otherwise, its a good calculator app. PS, i believe the caller ID feature is not a great use to your users.
Red flag for caller id. *Devs response doesn't change what I've said. Yes they have to abide by Google Play TOS, but that still allows data mining. - A calculator app has nothing to do with calls & caller id. Why did the devs waste time on adding that (which most people have or can get a better, non-inteusive app for that)? The answer is clear & evidenced by the extra permissions that give access to your personal info. Yes, you can disable the "feature" but that doesn't mean that they aren't still collecting info.
Caller ID Feature has nothing to do with your product. We understand that free apps will have revenue tools, but this is a step too far. Just do an ad banner like everyone else. Uninstalled.
